You get paid 200 bucks a month more for hazardous duty pay... I think it's BS the rest of the crew doesn't get it. We had 4 shipmates lose their lives in Hawaii 2 weeks ago, we all risk it. I realize swimmers put a bit more out there, but the rest of the crew put our lives on the line also.

Wow... its amazing that a rescue was even attempted on a few of these, but even more amazing is that they were successful! The US Coast Guards' are true heros! |
