This is the number 1 reason for dogs disbehaving: people thinking "oh, it's so mean to the dog to be strict!". A dog needs to know its boundaries. If, in the wild, a pack member does something the back leader doesn't want it to do, it's going to use its teeth to show the lower-ranked dog what is acceptable - that's what Cesar does with his hand. He makes his finger into "teeth" to correct the dog - and he doesn't harm the dog at all. It's not abusive, it's the natural way for dogs to interact!

responce::Hes not makeing the dog scared u idiot...If that dog were in the wild thats wat the other dogs would do accpt they would bit him...Ceser uses his hands as the jaw of a dog...The dog is not scared its being suvmissuve (sorry i cant spell) towards humans..Befor i stared to watch the dog whisperer my dog was so wild but now my dog is totaly suvmissuve towards me and my family...obously u dont know how to handlea dog

how are his methods barbaric and abusive? lol you treat dogs as dogs if you treat them as humans they attack you. He only touches the dog to let it know that he is in control. Weird.
